DON'T FORGET TO SIGN UP FOR CHESS CLUB!!

Since most of our players have participated in chess club for over a year now, we will not be taking novice players this year.  Children who sign up for chess club should already now the basic rules of how to play and how the pieces move.  Hopefully this year will be challenging and exciting as the children advance in their chess playing skills.
 
Chess Club meetings will begin in October and run through the end of March.  Meetings will be held about twice a month on Fridays from 3:15pm to 4:30pm in the School Cafeteria.  There are a total of 10 meetings scheduled for the year (see below).

The cost for chess club this year is $60.00 (for 10 sessions plus materials).

Please remind your children that Chess Club meetings are for those interested in playing and learning chess.  The students will be expected to follow the rules of chess etiquette.  This year we will have special awards and prizes for the students who do the homework given out by the coach, display excellent behavior, and good sportsmanship.
